Deadly policemen are involved in the accident at Desa Pinggiran Putra

Kajang: A policeman on duty at Precinct 7, Putrajaya was killed after an accident near Sekolah Kebangsaan Desa Pinggiran Putra, yesterday.

In the incident at 6.16pm, the victim, Mohd Zahir Md Johar, 32, who was from Merlimau, Melaka, died instantly at the scene.Sepang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Aziz Ali said the incident happened when a victim riding a motorcycle crashed into a van.

"The victim suffered severe head injuries and the victim's body was then taken to Putrajaya Hospital for a post-mortem," he said when contacted.Meanwhile, Putrajaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hasan when contacted, confirmed the dead victim was his member on duty at Police Precinct 7.

"I got the news about the incident late afternoon, and I was informed that the body of the victim was taken to Putrajaya Hospital for a post-mortem"."I also understand that the victim was on his way to his home in Pinggiran Putra Village, the late Lance Corporal and carried out general duties at the Presint 7 Police Station since six years ago," he said. 

It is learned that the body of the victim will be brought back to his hometown in Kampung Air Tawar, Jalan Sungau Renggi, Merlimau to be buried. He left a wife and a two-year-old child.
